Deerfield, MA Bulkhead

Domian Masonry was contracted for the rebuilding of a concrete block (below grade) and brick (above grade) foundation, the installation of new stairs for a bulkhead, and the assembly of the bulkhead itself.

Easthampton, MA Chimney

Domian Masonry took down the existing chimney to below the roof line and rebuilt the chimney with new materials.

Northfield, MA Chimney

Domian Masonry built this waterstuck brick chimney for a residence near the center of town in Northfield, MA. The original chimney was taken down to below the roof line and rebuilt over the course of 3 "warm" days in January. Two existing flue holes were also bricked in on the second floor.

Hadley, MA Chimney

Domian Masonry was contracted to take down and rebuild a chimney in Hadley, MA. A water struck brick was used as they do not suck up as much water as other types of brick do. This in turn adds to the life of the chimney. The company constructed the chimney around an existing Power Vent.

Fisette Chimney

The Fisette chimney was one of Domian Masonry's first projects. It was built out of the Morin college blend brick, which is a water stuck brick. The brick absorbs very little water which adds longevity to the chimney. The chimney has two flues, one for a furnace, and the other for a wood stove. Above the roof line where the chimney is exposed to the weather, the company added a lead pan. The pan stops any water that may have been absorbed during heavy rain to escape out of the chimney through weep holes. This practice can stop water damage to the rest of the home below the roof.

Newcomb Walkway

Newcomb's walk was built out of Ideal concrete pavers with a herringbone bond. The base was constructed out of compacted stone dust over landscaping fabric to deter weeds. The walkway was elevated above the grass to shed water. Like all Domian Masonry walkways, we build with a crown, which means that the center of the walk is higher then the edges. This is not just to shed water, but it will also prevent the walk from sinking due to being walked on over the years.
